WHAT WE CATCH
FISH IN SAN DIEGO
TARGET SPECIES
The wide variety of fish in San Diego’s beautiful ocean waters is what makes it home to some of the best deep-sea fishing in the country. We are so lucky to call these amazing fishing grounds home. The fishing season San Diego changes throughout the year. Lots of different species of fish such as Rockfish, Sea Bass, California Yellowtail, and California Halibut call San Diego waters home. Other species like the Tuna family of fish migrate thru our waters and down south in Mexico.
Since all of our trips are 100% private fishing charters, we can truly cater the day around the type of fishing you and your group would like to do and which types of fish you would like to target. Whether you are looking to go on our Half Day, 3/4 Day, or Full Day trip, we promise you we will do our very best to have you catching lots of fish. Give us a call to find out the latest fishing reports and, together, we can decide where we should fish the day of your trip.

ARE YOU READY TO CATCH SOME MEMORIES?
LET'S GO FISHING
YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU MAY CATCH
One of the most amazing things about the variety of fish in San Diego, is that on any given cast you never know what you may be hooked on the line? On our charter trips we have first time fishermen bring up catches of a lifetime. On one of our recent half day fishing trips we were fishing for rockfish and vermillion rockfish in water over 100 feet deep. The lines were rigged up with two hooks and a mix of live bait and squid. Everyone in the family had their lines at the bottom when all of the sudden one of the poles bent way over and the line started vigorously shaking. This definitely was not a rockfish.
The family worked together to reel in the line. Whatever was at the end of the line was heavy and strong! After a significant fight over 10 minutes long, we finally got a glimpse of color of this beast, it was a Thresher Shark, and a good sized one at that! In that moment the intensity of landing this fish became real. As the captain, it is my job to keep all my guests safe and we had to make sure we took every precaution to get this shark without bringing it on board. We worked as a team and after a long battle, we were able to bring in the 130 lb monster.
